Firefox now has wallpapers and a weather widget
For now, these preferences need to be toggled in about:config :

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.system.showWeather

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabWallpapers.enabled

Firefox is my default browser because it's minimal and non-intrusive, but I'm afraid the temptation to bring shiny crap into it is too much. Devs just leave it alone.
Firefox is my default browser too, but I wouldn't call it "minimal". It's full-fat.

Firefox: hey Brave, can I hope your home work? Brave: Sure just change it a little so it doesn't look obvious.

My honest reaction: https://giphy.com/gifs/personal-squidward-existential-crisis...

But still no option to switch your tabs to the side. :(
1. Use an extension for the side tabs (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sidebery/) 2. Disable top tabs via userChrome (mine is https://github.com/tuffff/firefox-remove-top-tabs) 3. enjoy

Of course, making it a simple checkbox would be much nicer.

In other news, for a couple of weeks now Youtube on Firefox lags so much that it's barely usable and Prime Video is completely broken.
The Youtube issue has already been addressed. 127.0.2 is going to be released this week.
